The Beauty and Love of the Butterfly Tattoo
Women love the butterfly as a tattoo symbol. It is physically beautiful, flighty and a representation of the impermanent given their short life spans. The Greek believed that a human soul emerged whenever a butterfly came out of its cocoon.
Other cultures looked upon the butterfly as a figure that transported souls from earth to heaven, and that a butterfly was actually a soul returning back to earth. Across many diverse cultures the butterfly has emerged to represent beauty, love, and the spirits of the dead.
