Death Tattoo of Mortality and the Afterlife

While there is no one single symbol to represent death, a tattoo that symbolizes death points out one of the simplest truths in life: that one day we are going to die. In each and every culture there is either a fable, a god or deity that is linked with death. Some of these beings help people to cross over to the afterlife, while others guard it so no one can leave.

Some symbols that are associated with death include skulls, the grim reaper, demons and the devil as well as some animals who are said to be spirit guides to the newly departed. Regardless we must choose our agent of death, and if we are comfortable with the thought of mortality, proudly display it or our bodies.
