Eagles Tattoo

The eagle is usually a male design that incorporates many different genres. While the eagle is certainly a powerful Native American symbol, over time it has also been adopted by many military factions. In many other ancient cultures the eagle was very highly regarded, especially since it spent so much time flying close to the heavens.

As an emblem, especially in America the eagle represents freedom, and the ability to overcome any obstacle no matter how daunting it is. The eagle symbolizes spirit and courage, fearlessness and victorious in conflict.

The eagle was often a symbol worn by leaders and warrior to show their supremacy and strength, although most of them probably overlooked the fact that an eagle mates for life. In Nordic legends the eagle represented wisdom and light, while the Native Americans thought the feathers of an Eagle could carry their prayers to Father Sun.

Many militaries, even those from hundreds of years ago, used the eagle as an emblem of protection, vigilance and far-sightedness. Unfortunately the eagle also received a tainted reputation when it was used by Nazi Germany, however the eagle’s strength has prevailed and it is still a popular symbol.
