The Generous and Nurturing Goat Tattoo
The goat has long been associated with male virility and potency. His rampant sexual nature associated him with the Greek god Pan who was always ready for sex. On the flipside a female goat was considered generous and nurturing.
Not everyone thought that the goat was a great symbol of masculinity. For example the Hebrews considered the goat to be lewd, while Christians thought they were lustful and impure. Eventually the goat was associated with Satan, particularly because of its destructive nature.
