The Good or Bad Luck of the Horsehoe Tattoo
While nearly every tattoo serves as an amulet of protection or to ward off evil spirits, the horseshoe is certainly one of the most popular tattoos for bringing good luck. It can be shown by itself or combined with other symbols, such as dice or four-leaf clovers.
In many countries around the world a horseshoe is hung above the door of a barn or house to bring good luck. A horseshoe can be hung with the ends pointing up to catch good luck, or hung with the ends down to pour out all the bad luck.
