Signifying strength, stability, royalty and wealth the leopard is certainly a powerful symbol. It was once thought that the leopard was the offspring of a lion and a tiger.
In certain regions of Africa ceremonies were performed where the leopard’s blood was drunk, and then the animal was release back into the wild. It was thought that through this a warrior could absorb some of the traits of the animal.
