The Ancestry of Scottish Tattoos
The Scottish have always been big fans of tattoos, and therefore have established a great host of emblems that are symbolic of their ancestry.
Nearly all peoples who came to Scotland, including the Celts and the Vikings were known for their tattoo art, and as they began trading with the Scandinavians and other peoples the popularity of tattoo art grew, as did the pictures depicted. Celtic tattoos are quite recognizable, with their intricate knots and spirals.
